• On Tuesday, May 26th, a special meeting of the Ojai City Council was convened. Roll call confirmed the presence of Mayor Gilman, Mayor Pro Tem Mang, Council Member Rule, Council Member Lang, and Council Member Whitman.
• A motion was made and seconded to approve the closed session agenda. No objections were raised, and the agenda was approved.
• During the public comment period, Mr. Quilici addressed the council. He discussed the Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA) for city employees, referencing survey data indicating current salaries were within 5% of the median. He noted the City Manager's recent salary adjustment to the median and the hiring of a new accountant at a median salary. Mr. Quilici expressed the view that a COLA should be considered and that discussions regarding compensation should occur in a public session.
